Silica Safety Statement

At Eastern Surfaces, the well-being of our employees and the maintenance of a safe working environment has always been a top priority. As part of our commitment to these values, we conduct comprehensive annual air quality monitoring to safeguard against potential hazards, particularly concerning silica dust-a byproduct associated with the cutting of many of our products.

Since the company began, we have prided ourselves on operating a clean manufacturing facility. From the beginning we have adhered strictly to a wet shop methodology, ensuring that all fabrication processes are completed with the use of water to suppress dust. This means that we never engage in dry cutting or grinding practices that produce dust.

To uphold the highest standards of safety, we continuously monitor our air quality. For nearly twenty years we have hired Certified industrial hygienists who perform tests to ensure the air quality exceeds the OSHA’s standards. We have always done this without being asked to. This proactive approach allows us to identify and address any concerns promptly, ensuring that our workspace remains healthy and safe for all.

As part of our overall safety program we have anonymous reporting program for our employees. We take pride in our unwavering dedication to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, and this annual air quality monitoring is one of the many ways we demonstrate this commitment.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in upholding our shared commitment to health and safety at Eastern Surfaces.
